A great story thank would link to ancient greek learning well. The main character's mum is poorly so a little warning due to your class circumstances.
A great modern twist on Greek Gods, combining humour, fantasy and true to life difficulties beautifully.
At first it was boring but it got better and better as it went on
This is a very good book.
It was a good book
10 stars! The plot is very good and features the Olympian gods in the modern day works, interacting with mortals.
Funny, immersive and relatable! A thoroughly enjoyable read back to back!
Loved it. Funny and enjoyable
My favourite part of the book is when ,Virgo lost her powers and had to destroy Thanatos without them . Thing that make me annoyed is that it could've added more detail and interesting plot twists.
My favourite character is Virgo. I would recommend it to a friend.
I liked that it has loads of stories
It was absorbing to read! The author is a top-notch writer! My favourite character is Elliot because he is loving and gracious!
I love this
I liked Hermes because he was very funny.
I really enjoyed this book because it had a flip book at the bottom. My favourite character is Virgo because she was very skillful.
I enjoyed this book because it made comedy out of the Greek gods.
my fravioute character is virgo because she is funny and smart
Brilliant
Elliot and Virgo are a million , billion, trillion times better then the new guys.
An incredibly funny adventure story! I have loved sharing the characters and their funny mishaps with the children in my class. I would recommend this book to Y5/6 and beyond. If you enjoy a good giggle, this is the book for you!
This was the best book ever. Period.
This is an amazing book it is a bit suprising how Virgo lands in the cow shed and I was shocked how somebody as rich as Patricia Porshly Plum could be so greedy for a tiny shed were two people lived when she had been rejected so many times by Eliot Hooper
I really liked it because it tells you a lot about mythology.
I loved this book it has a lot of creativity and my favourite part was when Elliot lied to mr boil and call me graham since he didn’t want to tell the truth about what happens at home.
Fictional story about a boy called Elliot whose mum has dementia and he has to rely on the help of the Gods to help save the world from the evil god Thanatos and rescue his home from the greedy neighbour Patricia Porshley-Plum. It was a bit of a slow burner for me and not really my taste. My knowledge of mythology and gods perhaps didn’t help as these became fictional characters in a modern era - may suit some interests but wasn’t a personal favourite
Somebody recommended already it was so funny I think people who like funny stuff like read it you like jokes because of kind of like a joke in here it gives you facts in here like about the Greek God's names Virgo Athens and you know
I enjoyed this book because there was a bit of history behind the story but my favourite character was Virgo. I als liked that they were gods who had come to planet earth
I liked when a girl shot down a boy from the sky to take her prisoner, I liked this bit because it was cool thinking about what it would look like in real life.
the detention scene was a bit confusing
Great book: funny, modern, fast paced with plenty of intertextual references. I really enjoyed this book and can see that the sequels will be just as good.
