It was my favourite book of them all because it was about wild animals and it was a great story structure.

I loved this book. Michael Morpurgo’s books are often sad in the middle but have a lovely ending. If you like dogs, I think you will enjoy this.

I love this book. I like this book because it’s the story of a dog that gets passed to different families, they all give him a different name and he has different adventures with each family. It was sad at the end. I would recommend this book to everybody.

I thought this book was good because it tells us about the friendship of animals and humans and it tells us about the dogs feelings and the humans feelings

I loved this book because of the greyhound Best Mate/Brighteyes/Scallywags

It was quite gripping with lots of twists and turns. The ending was a bit sad when his old owner didn't recognise him.

It was a fantastic, heartwarming story of one dog, who had several owners, and a fascinating life. Definitely a page turner.

A beautiful book, although terribly sad in places. Loved it & loved Best Mate/Bright Eyes/Paddywhack too! ❤️

I loved the book because it taught me so much about greyhounds and that each and every animal has a back story

A boy is walking to school next to the canal and then he sees a plastic bag hovering. The bag is squealing and sniffling. The boy jumps in and grabs the bag and then he pulls the bag of. There is five really cute puppies.

I love born to run because it shows that life always has bright sides even in the darkest of times. It is a very enjoyable but sad book so I would say that this book is suitable for 8+. I would recommend it to dog and adventure fans.

Michael Morpurgo really put effort in this book as like all the authors I have read from. There was a dog which had been rescued by a boy and he named him Best Mate. A man found him but didn't like him because he was not doing the races well [that is was he had dogs for] so he made it go but his daughter didn't let him and named the dog Brighteyes. The last but not least was The Tatty Man! He let the dog come in to his van and he named him Paddywack because it was his wife's favourite part of This Old Man [Nick Nack Paddywack give the dog a bone]. My favourite character was The Tatty Man because he cared for Paddywack more than anyone could. I would recommend this book for children 8 and over because it is a brilliant book.

It was really sad but I love greyhound

This story is a melancholy and emotional story to those who read this book. A heartbreaking story and a sad backstory a sac of baby greyhounds rescued by a boy who was going to school and kept one of the greyhounds.

I would rate this book 5 stars because at the start Patrick finds the greyhound to IDK her name now to a fisherman . Paddywack as the fisherman called him stayed by the girls side the entire time. So thank you Michael Morpurgo for making this book.
