Mr Big

I really liked this book. My daddy plays instruments and we have a piano at home so I think this was part of the reason. It is sad that people didn't want to be his friend just because he was so big.

I like this book because people feel uncomfortable around mr big but he knows he is nice inside I learnt to not judge a book by it's cover . This is a fiction book and I would recommend it to people because it is fun adventurous book

I loved this book

It is a fiction story. I like Mr Big, because sometimes I feel the same. I think this book teaches us that you need to pay attention not to other people's appearance but to talk to them and then decide if they are good or not.

What a beautiful story! The illustrations are stunning. The story is beautiful. The message is clear!

This is a good story that makes you think about being sad and being different. there is a lot of ideas to talk about. I like the illustrations and how it's ok in the end. I think 3-4 years would like the story and older ones think about it in a bit more detail. I think I'd give it 4 stars

It was fantasy. I liked all his friends that he made. My favourite bit was when he got happy. I would recommend this book

Mr Big is a fiction book, I really enjoyed the story because it has a bit about a piano

I like this book because it is about a gorilla who is big and that he can play the piano(unlike me). He learns that people like his music.

Everyone thinks she is big and bad but actually he is really thoughtful and kind inside. He found a piano and it was all alone just like him. He played such wonderful, beautiful music everyone got to know the real Mr Big. I really recommend this book to everyone.

Mr Big is a fiction big all about friendship and about how you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
From the get go, Mr Big is a book to draw in the reader with its bright and colourful pages.
The story is about a gorilla (Mr Big) who matching his name is very big! He is a lot larger than the other animals in the town. The animals perceive him as big and scary, when Mr Big enters the cafe or sits on the bus the other animals up and leave and this makes Mr Big feel very sad, alone and lonely. No one wants to be his friend. When the animals hear a mystery person playing the piano beautifully they want to find out who it is so that they can join their band. Everyone was so surprised it was Mr Big. When he joined the band everyone could see the real Mr Big and not the Big scary gorilla they thought he was. Mr Big was very successful and happy in the band and no longer had time to be alone with all of the friends he had made.
A good story for if a new member joins the class or for the start of a new academic year for children to realise that people aren't always what you assume and to learn to get to know people. You might end up making new friends. Everybody looks different but that doesn't mean you cannot be friends.

Great story. Loved reading this. It was good and enjoyed reading this because it was a perfectly awesome book!

Ed Vere is a good author. This book is about someone who finds happiness in playing music.

I didn’t really enjoy this book. It was a bit too young for me

I liked that at the end they liked his music and all got along. He wasn’t alone anymore

Read this today in Library. We made ourselves big and made ourselves small. We played along with each of the animals and made the sounds of their instruments. More to the story than I imagined. 🦍

I like it because he is all alone, but then he has friends.

Poor Mr Big had no friends. The monkey is funny, he says "hey man!"

This book is so wonderful it's about a an person called Mr Big. It's a fiction book about Mr Big and his life where everyone would run off to other places because there would be scared of him but if you read this book you might end up in tears (at the end of the book). I would recommend this book to my year 4 teacher Mr Jones sometimes he can be angry but not all the time.
