Get ready, book 10 in the phenomenally bestselling Diary of a Wimpy Kid series is coming!

Life was better in the old days. Or was it?

That’s the question Greg Heffley is asking as his town voluntarily unplugs and goes electronics-free. But modern life has its conveniences, and Greg isn’t cut out for an old-fashioned world.

With tension building inside and outside the Heffley home, will Greg find a way to survive? Or is going ‘old school’ just too hard for a kid like Greg?

Praise for Jeff Kinney:

‘The world has gone crazy for Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ – Sun

‘Kinney is right up there with J K Rowling as one of the bestselling children’s authors on the planet’ – Independent

‘The most hotly anticipated children’s book of the year is here – Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ – Big Issue

Amazing just as the other books. I started write in my journal too. Just, I don't call that a diary. And I'm not that good at drawing cartoons but it's just my own way.

Probably my second favorite book of the series. This book is how Gregs mom wants the town to spend the weekend completely gadget free. She does this by making a petition to make the town have a screen-free weekend, and takes the petition to the town hall. So when the weekend starts, Greg and his friend, Rowley, sets up a lemonade stand, but they fail at properly managing it. So they go to the town park, selling some water to the people who volunteered for the park clean up, until Gregs mom stops them by telling Greg that he is profiting off of the volunteers. So the climax of this book is when Greg signs up for a trip to a farm called Hardscrabble Farms. He has a pretty rough time there because he hears about a rumor of a crazy man prowling the woods named Silas Scratch. After he and his cabin mates get into trouble, an emergency chaperone is called to their cabin. Who is surprisingly Gregs dad. On the final night, they need to build a shack and sleep outside for the night. Everything goes well until Greg comes across a maintenance shed that at first he thought was Silas Scratch’s shack, but then he finds his dad there. So he leads Greg back to his cabin mates broken up shack, which they took parts of to feed to their campfire. The next day, Gregs dad takes greg home in his car. What i like about this book was that it has a pretty unique theme to it, and of course being funny and hilarious. My favorite character was still Rodrick, though he was less prominent in this book. I would recommend this book to someone else.

Some parts were really really funny. I would recommend it to someone if they are a fan.
I like Rowley as a character because he is always trying to be funny by Greg’s side. He is sweet and funny and doesn’t care what other people think of him.

I like it. Silas scratch was creepy and it was funny when Greg found out about that it was a trick and by his own dad to. How did so many kids get injured in 5 days. They broke the tradition and Greg somehow managed to smash Emilio’s glasses on day two.
