My Family and Other Animals

It was a fine book.

This was a really good book! It was a relaxing read with some funny bits! I liked the stories of all the animals and the family stories too! My favourite character was Gerry as he was always causing unintentional trouble with his animals!

It's a spectacular book for fauna admirers. Gerry and his fondness of other creatures had make a wonderful adventures journey to tranquil hilly island.

The book told you about animals and wildlife it was a true story about a boy who loved animals it was really funny and I loved the jokes I would recommend it to someone else definitely it was such a great story

I loved learning about Gerald's life with animals. He was an interesting man. It was well written.

A story of a British family who move to Cyprus and the animals Gerald collects as a child. Very funny in places but sometimes too descriptive.

Lovely book. I want to visit Corfu.

I thought it was a fantastic, descriptive, funny and interesting book. Gerald Durrell’s description and detail was great. The Durrell’s went through so much together. They moved house so many times and even when it got tough, was hard but despite their arguing they had their times of fun. I would definitely recommend it to other older children around 10 and up. It was amazing!

I liked Spiros the local man who acted as their guide. The language was beautiful but sometimes difficult.

This book was so funny! I got to realise how annoying family can be, but also how amazing. There were quite a few challenging words in this book but I got the gist of it. It was very descriptive and all the places seemed beautiful!

This is a great book for all the animal lovers, I love it, it retell the story of Gerald Durrell's childhood in Corfu and is hilariously funny as well as inspiration and amazing.
