Running around Green Knowe’s moat, gardens and mysterious rooms, Tolly slowly discovers them, their toys and animals, and their wonderful stories . . .
River at Green Knowe

The book ‘The Children of Green Knowe’ is a fabulous story about a boy that comes to visit his grandma in a house where three children used to live but unfortunately died of the Great Plague. The grandma and the boy unnaturally can see the ghosts of the three children that are called Toby, Linnet and Alexander. Toby has a horse Feste that nobody can see and so Tolly (the boy that came to stay) wishes on Christmas to see Feste the horse and ride him as well. The horse magically appears and his Christmas wish came true.
I much enjoyed the story and the book was very well written. Therefore I give it 5 stars because it really pulled me in and I felt that I have to find out what will happen next. I recommend the book very much.
Not an easy book to read as the language is more advanced. The setting descriptions featured in the book are just exquisite.
i enjoyed the aspect of the story and how it was filled with suspense and mystery
these books are really good I am still reading them
this has 2 stories in it.
1 is about a boy called Toseland and he is going to stay with his Grandmother. His grandmother's house is very old and ancient. He meets the ghost of old people who used to live in that house and he talks to them. He also plays hide and seek with them.
The other story I 3 children who go to stay at a house with two people. One is kind and one always wants people to eat her own food. The children go to the river which is near by and sail in it. They do many things in the boat by going to different places.
The author who has written this book based on her own house.
