Demonstrates that we are now in the midst of a ‘clash of emotions’. This book contends that both Europe and the United States are dominated by a fear of the ‘other’ and of the loss of their national identity and purpose. It offers an understanding of the world we live in and a solution to the ignorance and differences that plague us.

This is a non fiction book about geopolitics. The author links three emotions: fear, humilitiaion and hope to analyse international conflict. It is a very interesting since I have never thought you could do that. The arguments are very compelling and there is constructive criticism throughout the book.
