It was really interesting and full of adventure. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good bookand my favourite character was Freda the giant.

The most interesting incident Is when Mr Buchanan kicks Hetty (Sapphire Battersea) out of his household for screaming at him after he stole her memoirs for his own story.

I love Hetty Feather and reading about her life in Victorian times.

I really liked this book because it is really good to find out what happened to Hetty after she was in the Foundling hospital. Hetty leaves the hospital to go into service. She of course isn't a very good servant so she loses her temper with the master and is dismissed. She goes to Bignor where her mother works. She meets a lovely family but while she is there something terrible happens. She finds a job at a curiosity show but then she decides to go and find her father.

This is the second book of the Hetty Feather series and is quite a good book. After finding her mother is Ida, the cook at the hospital Hetty thinks her life is perfect. She finds out her real name is Sapphire Battersea but soon Shelia, her enemy, finds out Hetty's secret. Then the hospital fires Ida. Not long after Hetty is sent away in services and to another adventure. Find out more by reading Sapphire Battersea.

I love this book I borrowed it from my school library thinking it would be boring but it was totally the opposite! Red haired Hetty Feather has been living in The Foundling Hospital for Orphans but everything changes when she finds out her mother is still living. But one day a matron of Foundling hospital tells her that she has applicated Hetty for a servant job. The next day Hetty leaves to be a servant, someone comes to collect her and she goes into a hansom cab! Then while in the cab she sees her childhood sweetheart Jem in the village waving at her. she quickly looks away in embarrassement and ignores him the whole way. Only when she gets to her master's house does she reliase it was Jem. Suddenly her heart swells for him she misses him so much. Well it's like the old saying absence makes the heart fonder. Butafter she settled in she found a new sweetheart Bertie the butcher's boy, quite involuntarily.Jem keeps sending letters about their love but Hetty still doesn't tell him that she had a new sweetheart. The book finishes sadly with Hetty's mother dying and Hetty has the task of finding her father.

Sapphire Battersea is the second book in the Hetty Feather series and it is just as exciting and thrilling as the first book. It tells the adventures at the seaside and as a servant.

Having read the first Hetty Feather book, I've enjoyed reading this. Hetty's time as a servant and her freedom from the Foundling hospital is much more exciting than the first novel. I recommend this book to children who enjoy action and historical novels.

I loved this book so so much because it was so action packed and emotionally crazy. My favourite character was probably Bertie because he was so funny and happy. I found it so terribly heart breaking when Hetty's Mum dies as they had just got reunited.
I also really enjoyed hearing about Freda as she was so so lovely.
