In my opinion, this outstanding book was magnificent! I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in action, adventure and/or fantasy.
INCREDIBLE. Full of magic, twists & turns
This book was spectacular, it was fiction but I really felt it was real because it was so detailed and almost like it was happening as I read it. The black cat was so funny and posh, her powers was my favourite, but I liked the main character too! I would recommend it to enybody, I liked it so much I read it twice.
All the good magicians
I love this book
I think Evie doubts herself a lot
I would recommend this book to everybody
such a good book
Great mix of characters. I loved the grumpy cat. It was a satisfying book in its own right but I also look forward to reading the rest of the series
If it was factual I'd like to learn facts about science
I really enjoyed this book as it has links to the past while being set in the near future in a city with skyscrapers, pollution and ten million people living in it. A futuristic setting with a beautiful and interesting plot based around the Order of the Stone and their quest to destroy the Spellstone - a stone that is submerged in dark magic and intent to essentially destroy the world - and the day they recruit a young sorceress called Evie.
A really lovely read and I would recommend to ages 11+ as there are multiple deaths in it
Happy reading!

I loved how this book had a mix of thrilling adventure, some spooky parts, a mythical storyline and a bit of folk law and history. I loved how even though Evie is in a strange place away from her parents where she will never be the same again, she still stays positive and tries to overcome her fears to do what's right which I think is a great message to try and spread. The order of the stone will do anything to protect what they have promised to care about and will even sacrifice themselves to save another which again is a great message which applies to the real world. I would recommend this book to lovers of adventure and excitement. Great book :)
This book was really good. It is about a girl who discovers that she is a sorcerer and she has to stop the most evil sorcerer ever, Vale, finding a magical stone. My favourite part was when Evie first met the magicians and my favourite characters are Lady Alinora, Rish and Evie.
I'd reccomend this book to people who like books like Amari and the Night Brothers and Harry Potter
This book is about a girl called Evie and a secret organization who want to defeat the most powerful magician in the world. My favourite character is Lady Alinora because she is bossy, and along the story it shows that even though people can be mean, deep down they can be loving. I would definetely recomend this book to others.
I really enjoyed the book because love to read stories full of dangerous magic. It was breathtaking!
It's so good, this is the fourth time I'm reading this
What a cracking read!!! I remembered that I really enjoyed 'The Chime Seekers' and this was just as good. I was hooked from the opening and the plot kept me guessing throughout! So much action, brilliantly written. Sad that I've finished it!!!
I LOVE THIS BOOK!
If I could give it a TRILLION stars, I would. Ross captured my attention in so many ways and I could escape into a whole new world when reading. I feel so empowered! This book includes superpowers but they are more mental than physical which I love! Evie was my favourite character because I can relate to her a lot! I would recommend it to girls and boys who are aged 8 all the way to 17.
I liked Evie as she was determined that the wizards would work together
Was alright
This book gripped me from start to finish. I loved the separate parts dedicated to each character, weaving in more backstory throughout the adventure.
I liked this book a lot because I enjoy learning and reading about fantasy, magic and sorcery.
A magical adventure story, great for ages 8-12. It's kind of a mixture of 'The Umbrella Academy' and 'Locke and Key' with magicians hidden in plain sight working together to defeat evil and living in a mysterious mansion which is bigger on the inside than the outside. Exciting moments that are well described. The final chapters lead me to believe this will turn into a series.

An adventure full of danger and bravery, friendship and humour. An age-old battle of good vs evil leads to the realisation that we all have something magical within us. Loved the link to Arthurian myth too.
