Meet Billie Upton Green and her VERY accidental diary – and don’t you DARE call her B.U.G!
Billie has taken the new girl at school under her wing. She’ll teach her the important stuff – Biscuit Laws, Mrs Patterson and of course where to sneakily eat a Jaffa Cake. She might even get invited to the EVENT OF THE YEAR (Billie’s mums’ are getting married).
But then suspicion sets in. The new girl seems VERY close to Billie’s best friend Layla.
And she knows a LOT about the big school heist – the theft of Mrs Robinson’s purse. But, Billie is on to her. Well, as long as Patrick doesn’t catch her eating biscuits first.
Join Billie in this laugh-out-loud adventure!
A sparky, funny new series perfect for fans of Diary of A Wimpy Kid – Daily Mail

This was an amazing book because the main characters is funny and she had lots of funny theories about different people that I thought were interestinf
Very funny!
A comedy story about a girl who was excited but also worried about adopting a new sister when she heard it from her two moms. Also comes with some games you can try. There is also a page for readers who skipped to the end. A perfectly good choice of a book for all the kids out there.
Amazing
INCREDIBLE
really funny and has the message of not judging people by their looks
I love this book, it’s amazing! Bug’s life is cool and she has to get through the new girl at school, Janey Mcvey, who is always annoying her. I think you should read those biscuit laws and try them yourself!
Bug is talented but watch out, she needs a real practice with those spellings of hers! But, we all want life to be easier which is why Bug has sent a letter to the prime minister to ask him to make a law that you can write words just as they sound. On a scale of 1-10 I rate this book 100! Be sure to read this book.
Reminds me of the layout of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid, but from the point of view of a girl! It covers day-to-day challenges of school and life, but is an amusing outlook. It also covers the differences between families from one end of the spectrum to new biscuit laws and spelling on a calculator at the other!
I thought this book was really funny. I think my Aunty would like it too. Billie is my favourite character in the book. I am looking forward to reading the next one.
This book was hilarious. I would recommend it to someone else because I think they would find it really funny It’s because of the way that the diary is written.
This book has laws about biscuits and that she’s adopted by two mums. It’s very funny.
I loved this book! This is one of my favourite books and I find it very funny. i really enjoyed reading it!
it was ok i liked it a bit it was kind of funny.
It was hilarious especially when Billy said she needed a poo at a wedding 😂.
Loved it ❤️
A book I would recommend to those who like Dork Diaries. There are illustration on every page, it is a child’s view of the world, her family and friendships - and biscuits.
A very funny book in both writing and illustrations. Rang true throughout and highly representative. Would definitely recommend to Y4 and above.
Love Reading diaries
I liked the book because Billie thought Janey was the thief but she wasn't. She just needed time to meet her properly.
It was really good I liked Janey McNavey and Billie the best and I liked the funny biscuit laws.
I really liked this book because of the humour.
It was very funny and I liked the mysteries. This is one of the best books I ever read. My favourite character was Janey because at first Billy thought that she was the theif but she turned out in the end to be one of her best friends. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes mysetery and comedy!
Great humour, you felt like you were there. Surprising ending.
This is such a fun book to read with doodles throughout to bring it to life. I love the little quizzes dotted throughout as well.
I also love the top ten word lists - a great way to introduce new vocabulary to children (and adults)
The biscuit laws are all true - I won’t give any spoilers.
Billie is you’re typical school girl who wants to investigate and struggles when her friendship of 2 becomes 3 (a classic case of 2s company 3s a crowd) which is such a common issue amongst children of all ages. Billie also likes to put 2 and 3 together but often comes up with 5.
This really is a great book for children to read independently or to share.
The family dynamics and friendship issues are very real and easy to relate to for many. It also touches on other areas such as theft, people not having enough money for food and also honesty and making good choices.
A funny book with serious themes
I will definitely be reading the next book when it is published
Ideal for 7+
Highly recommend for children at home and all school libraries
