great book loved reading this with my mum and dad, loved the gorilla
This book is about a boy named Eric who’s best friend is a gorilla named Gertrude who is about to be put to sleep and he does not want this to happen. So with the help from his great uncle Sid they rescue Gertrude before she gets put to sleep and while on the run from the zookeepers and the police they find a nazi plot to bomb the Houses of Parliament.

The book is fiction and is a hilarious and exhilarating book, My favourite character in the book is Gertrude, (the ape). I would reomend it it to someone else, definitely, because of all the enjoyabale parts and comedy scenes in the book. My favourite part is when gertrude is parachuting down from the sky.
