I thought this unmapped chronical was amazing and would recomend it to everyone looking for an adventure
I loved Smudge in this book because she learnt to believe in yourself and she was a hero.
This book was really good and magical because it proved that everything was possible and that if you believe in yourself and others believe in you, then -honestly- everything is really possible.
Smudge was my favourite character. I really enjoyed the rest of the series as well. I would recommend it.
I liked Smudge the best.
Teaching children that dyslexia doesn't hold you back, that you must believe in yourself, that we all have strengths. This book really does help you see how unique and special you are. A lovely story, with a great ending.
Everdark was an amazing book to read .
I would definitely read it again and I would recommend it to other people as well
I was amazing
I loved this book because it was so exciting. My favourite character was Smudge because she believed in herself and didn’t give up.
This is a fast-moving magical story involving fantastical, mythical creatures. I love the ingenious heroine and the way her mind works. Also the name of the characters, islands and ships are really cool and clever. I would recommend this to 10-13 year olds.
The book was very good and I loved the concept but it was very short so I didn’t get into the book as much as I have with longer books.
Amazing
I totally love Abi elphinstone. Smudge was my favourite character and I couldn’t put this book down! I can’t wait to read more stories like this!
Journey to another Unmapped Kingdom and find out how Morg was first defeated. An adventure tale set at sea with an unlikely hero. Great for anyone who has enjoyed the other books in the series, loves an adventure story or has ever doubted themselves!
I thought that this was a great book because it is about a harpy, who is selfish and wants to rule with no magic, so Smudge and Batholomew have to save the kingdom since everybody else is under the nightdaggers
I found this book , the first in Abi Elphinstone's The Unmapped Chronicles series , a little hard to get into but once Smudge (the main character) set sail on her world-saving adventure , it got more exciting and engaging. I have read the other books in the series and I think they are better , I couldn't really imagine what the world of Crackledawn really looked like in my head. That said , there were so many original ideas that seemed so ingenious for example : the obligasaurus chair which is a chair which is really helpful and it gives you whatever you need and tidies up , watergum which is gum that allows you to breathe, laugh, speak and even burp underwater , mersilk which magically restores torn sails and many more! I would recommend it to readers aged 9+.
I loved this book my favourite part was when they defeated Moreg the harpy (don’t read this comment if you have not read the book). It was amazing
The whole Unmapped Chronicles series has a wonderful Narniaesque quality to it and like Tolkein, this series has a world which needs children to save it from evil intentions- in this case, this is the prequel to Rumblestar and shows how Morg, a harpy, originally tries to take over the world through stealing the Phoenix's magic. We meet Smudge, an unlikely (dyslexic) hero who helps to save her people. Exciting, imaginative and adventurous!
