Reviews
Yes I would recommend this book, some good tricky words in it and an important message to keep our seas clean. The boy was my favourite because he saved the turtle & turned Stanley into a kite!
It had a lot of things I needed to know. It told me to not throw bags into the sea because animals will eat it.
I like this book because at the end Stanley was changed from a bag to a kite. I recommend this book
A simple story with a strong message of plastic in the oceans. Would recommend to primary school children.
I liked when the whale got Stanley
I read this book lots of times because it was so good.
It is fiction. My favourite character is the little boy because he helps Stanley and the turtle. I like it because it teaches us about not littering near the sea.
Live this book expesily wen he wen down the whale throat
It's really sad that a plastic bag gets swallowed by a sea creature.
Teaches a good lesson about not putting litter in the sea.
Stanley got swallowed by a turtle and a smart sensible creative boy turned Stanley into a kite so he no longer could be a jellyfish anymore.
My favourite
I liked guessing who swallowed Stanley. I liked it when he was a kite. You shouldn’t put plastic bags in the ocean because the turtle swallowed it and couldn’t breathe.
It teaches us not to put rubbish in the sea
I think this book was good because of the repetitive pattern.
It teaches me about bad plastics and littering
This was quite a good book
This fictional book is perfect for talking to children about the importance of recycling, disposing of litter correctly and looking after our glorious planet. When Stanley finds himself in the deep blue sea, he is mistaken for a fish! This causes lots of mishaps and danger for other sea life creatures. A powerful story about plastic pollution!
I liked it when Stanley came out of the turtles belly.
Don’t put plastic in the sea.
The little boy helps the turtle by turning the bag into something new
I like this book a lot and I like Stanley.
Fantastic book
Really good. It was funny and it made me feel happy when the turtle was saved.
This was a very interesting book. It taught me about why it important to recycle plastic so that it doesn't end up in the sea. This story was quite sad because poor Stanley was a plastic bag who kept on being swallowed by lots of poor sea creatures and it was very dangerous for them. But it had a happy ending because they could reuse him.
This book really helps you understand about recycling and not littering and saving the planet
I like it when Stanley gets made into a kite after he gets rescued from the turtles mouth!
This is a fab book for helping little minds understand the effects litter can have on the planet.
Stanley, who doesn't really understand who he is, floats through the ocean meeting different sea animals and finding himself in tricky situations. Poor Stanley.
But not to worry, with the help of a kid boy, Stanley works out exactly who he is and finds great happiness.
I have shared this book with my 2 young children and we've thought about the impact rubbish and plastic is having on the world. It's inspired us to reduce our single use plastic and be more proactive in our recycling process.
The illustrations are really great and helps to bring the story to life for the eyes of our little ones.
I liked when the boy saves the turtle and made him into a kite. I learned that bags don’t belong in the sea.

Fantastic picture book about use of plastic and the effect it has on our sea life and our oceans.
Good book. Teaches people not to leave litter around as it harms sea life. Favourite character was boy as he saved Stanley. Recommend to teach about pollution.
