I found this a very gentle read. The book was well written, the plot was an unusual one and the various characters well drawn. While one of two of the characters were not really believable (Portia for instance) I still found the book very readable and I finished it in three days. I was glad that there was only a very minimal use of the F-word, (which seems to be almost obligatory these days) and was even able to forgive the whiff of the supernatural and Sunshine's psychic powers. All in all, I enjoyed it very much and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a light and slightly different read. SHEENA
A book I couldn't put down! The Keeper of Lost Things had it all- detective, thriller, romance, family saga and ghost story. The characters were really well drawn. Sunshine being particularly engaging made me laugh out loud and not many books do that!
I'm also going along the pavement not actively looking for lost things but aware of things dropped or lost. Yesterday, it was a little girl's hair slide and NO I'm not starting a collection, but it does make you wonder what the stories behind the items might be! JAN
A quirky book which I enjoyed although the ending was a bit fairytale like but that's OK for a feel good book. The concept of someone looking after all lost things is interesting, it is a nice thought to think that someone might look after something precious that you may have lost. MARJAN
I was a bit confused by all the main characters and felt that they were too alike. I saw the point of the story but it didn't grip me I'am afraid. BET
