HO HO HO great book
I love it when the girl saves Christmas and goes through the chimney.
This amazing thriller of a book wowed me almost instantly after flipping the first page! The delicacy of the words written were fabulously placed to draw in my attention. One chapter I read was very touching as the young girl, Amelia Wishart suffers a tragedy.... I could fell the tension rising in me almost as quick as the blink of an eye! Captain Soot , Amelia's beloved cat, really made the book special for me because he always found a way out of the chimneys. I totally recommend this mind-blowingly adventurous book!
I thought that it was a very good book and that it was very funny . My favourite character was Captain Soot because he was a cat 😺.
My favourite person was Captain Soot because he was a cat.
Like it but it needs more action
I thought that this book was amazing and it was really imaginative, as it had elves, pixies, trolls, Santa and magical flying reindeers.
The story was very exciting and fast paced.
My favourite character was Little Mim because he was very brave, and he followed his mummy. My mummy liked Captain Soot.
Yes, I would recommend this book.
This book was fiction. The main character is Amelia, she has 3 wishes for Santa and one of them is for her mother to get better. Once I had started the book I wanted to keep reading.
I think it was a nice book with mysteries and adventure.
My favourite character was probably Amelia because she is hard working, brave and she never gives up.
I would definitely recommend this book to someone else.
The girls had a cat called Captain Snoot, and together they saved Christmas in a very exciting way
It was really funny because there was lots of people trying to go down the chimney but they couldn't fit.
This is a great book! It's set in the Victorian times but it's really realistic! I love the part set in the Elf village and all the elves especially Little Mim! A really good read!
Mr Creeper locked Amelia in the workshop in the basement. It was quite exciting. The mother died. It was Ok.
The book is about 10 years old girl Amilia whose life was a bit misfortune but having hope it happily changed. Amilia's mum died, she spent some time working for Mr Creeper but finally she found a new home at Elfhelm and began a new life. I liked when in the book queen Victoria appeared as I learned about Victoria times at school.
i would recommend this book to children around 6-10 years +
A good festive read.
This was very good, I enjoyed reading it. I would like to read more like this.
This book was amazing!!, I rate it 5/5. My favourite person is Father Christmas because he was trying to help everyone! My favourite part is when Amelia got out of the workhouse. I would definately recommend, I had not heard of this book before ,but my elves gave it to me on Christmas eve and it is really good!!
A fictional tale that follows on from a boy called Christmas. Amelia is a brilliant, strong female lead character who has a tough time with Mr Creeper from the workhouse after her mother dies. More Christmasy magic from Matt Haig that is highly recommended.
I thought this book was pretty good I really liked the cat and the girl and of course the reindeer too its very adventures and I liked it I mainly recommend it to people who like adventure danger and most importantly people who believe
Very Christmassy story set in the Victorian times about a girl called Amelia Wisheart who was sent to a workhouse but is then saved by Father Christmas. Highly recommend it if you love books based on Christmas.
I enjoyed this book and would recommend it. My favourite character is Charles Dickens
I liked this book.
I absolutely loved this book. It has so much creativity in it. It for reading all year round and for all ages who love mystery and adventure
It was really nice. Not only for Christmas but any time. It was really heartwarming. I loved it
This book is a great read because it is based on a young girl whose mother dies. She ends up in a workhouse with lots of other children. She meets a kind cook and she also meets father Christmas. This is an amazing story about bravery and trust I would recommend this to anyone who likes true magic.
I like Father Christmas and the elves, pixies and trolls, but not Mr Creeper.
this book is actually really good, its all about fun and technically 2 books in one as its explaining 2 things. the words the author uses makes you feel the way the characters feel, it really digs into your soul. You can easily chose all the characters to be your favourite as they all have good and bad sides. all the questions are answered by the end of the book! the just keeps on getting better
I really like it,
my favourite character is Amelia,
I don't know why, I just like her
I liked it because the girl called Amelia saves Christmas
