This amazing thriller of a book wowed me almost instantly after flipping the first page! The delicacy of the words written were fabulously placed to draw in my attention. One chapter I read was very touching as the young girl, Amelia Wishart suffers a tragedy.... I could fell the tension rising in me almost as quick as the blink of an eye! Captain Soot , Amelia's beloved cat, really made the book special for me because he always found a way out of the chimneys. I totally recommend this mind-blowingly adventurous book!

I thought that this book was amazing and it was really imaginative, as it had elves, pixies, trolls, Santa and magical flying reindeers.
The story was very exciting and fast paced.
My favourite character was Little Mim because he was very brave, and he followed his mummy. My mummy liked Captain Soot.
Yes, I would recommend this book.

This book was fiction. The main character is Amelia, she has 3 wishes for Santa and one of them is for her mother to get better. Once I had started the book I wanted to keep reading.

This is a great book! It's set in the Victorian times but it's really realistic! I love the part set in the Elf village and all the elves especially Little Mim! A really good read!

The book is about 10 years old girl Amilia whose life was a bit misfortune but having hope it happily changed. Amilia's mum died, she spent some time working for Mr Creeper but finally she found a new home at Elfhelm and began a new life. I liked when in the book queen Victoria appeared as I learned about Victoria times at school.

A fictional tale that follows on from a boy called Christmas. Amelia is a brilliant, strong female lead character who has a tough time with Mr Creeper from the workhouse after her mother dies. More Christmasy magic from Matt Haig that is highly recommended.

this book is actually really good, its all about fun and technically 2 books in one as its explaining 2 things. the words the author uses makes you feel the way the characters feel, it really digs into your soul. You can easily chose all the characters to be your favourite as they all have good and bad sides. all the questions are answered by the end of the book! the just keeps on getting better
