This is our place and we’ll fight to save it!
A summer spent in the place Noah and his friends call the Wilderness, is a summer spent making dens, sleeping under the stars, and toasting marshmallows over an open fire. It’s freedom.
Until one day their Wilderness is sold and set for development and their dens torn down to make way for houses. For Noah and his friends this means war and they’ll do anything to stop the Wilderness being destroyed.
From the author of Seal Island, this exciting new adventure celebrates the outdoors and the freedom to explore it – and with the exclusive, fun tips and ideas in the back of the book, you can make the best of wild spaces too!

I like it alot .
An amazing story of kids willing to fight for their land and do whatever it takes.
Great book and has a very important life message.
Was aware of this title from the school reading books and have wanted to read it for a while. I loved the nature theme and the descriptions of the wilderness were fabulous - I was completely transported to the setting! A great book for some of the younger children which couldn't fail to get them interested in the natural world.
This was such an amazing book. I really loved how it showed how passionate young people can be about nature. I loved how Noah and his friends sticked up for it until, finally the council decided not to turn it into houses. The kids are very influentual when it comes to nature and protecting it. I seriously (and I mean seriously) suggest you read it because it's just that good. My favourite character is Noah becuse even though he is shy like me he sticks up for what's right.
I liked that after they saved the wilderness they had a big party and Mr Moss came as well. I also liked that they have lots of different animals that come in to the wilderness and go in the pond Noah made.
My fav route character was Toby because he was fierce and determined I would recommend it because it sends a message to save the wildlife
It was good i like Noah the best
I absolutely adore this book!! It is exciting and imaginative as well as giving a message - nature should be protected and not to be underestimated. This story recognises the importance of a green space and to me, it is really special. I would recommend this to everyone and anyone!! My favourite character is Holly because she is determined, kind, sensible and brave. 5 stars!!!
An action packed book right from the start. A group of friends fight to save the waste land opposite their homes after it is put up for sale. This is their’ wilderness’ and they will do whatever it takes to protect it.
This is very much a child vs adult kind of adventure story where the children are the ambassadors for change. An eco-friendly theme runs throughout and the references to nature are quite beautiful.
This book was amazing. I liked Noah and the crow because they trusted each other entirely. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys adventures.
I loved the description of all the animals. I also loved at the end how they won the Wilderness War and all their home-made weapons and dens.
If there was a 10 I would give this a 10. Great book.
This was an amazing book and I really enjoyed it because it was all about the environment.
It interested me because of the lots of nature on the front cover. It interested me a lot in it. I would recommend this book to readers who love saving energy and being ECO!
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were smart and funny! I like nature a lot, and this book was all about saving the wilderness (a forest). My favourite character was Noah.
Yes!
I love this book. This book contains that how importent nature is to us.
because its funny
I really liked this book it had loads of of cool people that wanted to save the wilderness because it was going to be built on.
This is a very good book. It will appeal to people who love animals and wish to save the wildlife. It also shows you how important wildlife is to us. I really liked Crow - a bird thrown out of its nest as a teenaged bird it then soon becomes tame for Noah (one of the main characters). I recommend this book and give it 5 out of 5. :3
A brilliant story about a boy called Noah, his little sister Natalie and his friends Zeke, Toby, Holly, Anil and Asha. Every holiday they play in the place they call The Wilderness, which is perfect for building dens, playing games and staying up all night camping. One day Noah spots a sign in the night and it says 'For Sale'. He and his friends are distraught. Can they save their Wilderness???
I loved this book because I love doing the sorts of things that they do. I found it dramatic and exciting and my favourite part was when they went to the council. I'd rate this book 100/100. Read it!
I think you should read this book because it is totally amazing, it is about saving the woodland where Noah and all his friends like to play, and telling everyone the bad news, and defeating people in the government and having fun.
It was the best book I ever read in my life!
I just like it so much after Beetle Boy.
It is the best book I have ever read and I totally recommend this book to anyone who loves the wild and playing outside with friends and having adventures!
Best for older kids def aimed at teenagers - voted 1st place in our Chatterbooks group.
I enjoyed this book. I think boys or girls would like it.
I love this book! recommended to eager readers who are outdoorsy and independent. People are trying to make the bit of country side opposite Noah and his friends houses. Noah and his friends need to fight to protect their animal friends and their dens. They will do anything to stop a bulldozer chopping the tree's and for house developers to build houses there.
It is an amazing book, relating to the world today! I'd recommend this book to people who love having having a taste of adventure in the wild; like me!
