It was funny. But I never want a snake as a pet!
Really enjoyed this book and wanted to keep reading to see what happened next. The cheeky bird who kept causing mischief. It was funny that Ben had babies and had to be re-named Jen lol . Fabulous reading.
It was funny like a detective thing and adventurous.
The best person was the snake.
The other best part was when the Guinea pig had a baby and the other was the copy bird who repeated stuff and the other one is when Doris went through so the girl forgot to close the snake’s house.

Fantastic story. I love the idea of Polly's Holiday home for pets. Still wonders why Doris never wanted to leave the home, though.
I liked this book because it was full of surprises. I would recommend this book to my neighbour.

Polly is a little girl who has begged her mum to have a pet snake. nearly every day she would say maybe. so finally, one day mum got polly a snake. The snake liked her but in the end he ran away but she came back
I liked the book but I gave it 3 stars because thee wasn’t much writing in it. There were lots of pictures. I like to have more of a challenge.
I did not like this book.
Loved this book by my favourite author. Very interesting definitely recommend
Mum chose this one for me - it was a bit babyish.
I really enjoyed this book because of all the animals in it. My favourite animal was Ben the guinea pig because of how cute his child was. It is funny when the snake blends in like he's a hose. I would recommend this book to people who like animals and who like funny books.
It wasn’t very exciting.
I loved the ending. This was the very first chapter book that I have read and it was the best book I have read. 10 stars.
Really enjoyed the book
Fun but a bit short.
This is a good book and if you like animals then you will like it to . It is also funny .
My favourite character was Ben the hamster because he was supposed to be boy and then he had babies!
It was interesting and silly. I particularly enjoyed the part, when the snake escaped.
I thought it was nice but needs to be longer so you can read it for longer and understand the characters better. I liked the guinea pigs the best but would only recommend it to children who are only just learning to read chapter books.
A good fun book with some great characters. My favourite character was Polly who loves animals like me. I would recommend it.
This book is about the snake visiting someone's house alongside other pets while the owners are away on holiday. My favourite character was Charlie because it was funny when he sang I dream of jennie with the light brown hair. I would recommend the book to younger readers because it was so easy to read and was very funny. I would hive this book 5/5.
It is a fiction book, My favourite person in the book was Polly. I liked where Dorris the snake hide. I would recommended to someone else because it was funny. It was interesting because each animal had a funny thing they did.
I liked this book because a snake came to stay at a girl's house and got into some mischief
I enjoyed this book
I loved learning that snakes shed their skin
This had a good twist at the end when the guinea pig turned out to be a girl and to be pregnant.
I enjoyed reading this book. It’s about a girl called Polly who has a holiday home for pets. It was a nice story. My favourite characters were the baby Guinea pigs because I like small fluffy animals. My favourite chapter was The Search because that’s when they were looking for Doris the snake, who was disguised as a hosepipe!
