Em adores her funny, glamorous dad – who cares if he’s not her real father? At Christmas, Dad gives them all fantastic presents – and another surprise: he’s leaving them. Will his well-meaning but chaotic attempts to keep seeing Em and the other children help them come to terms with this crisis? Or would they be better off with a clean break?

I loved this book
I enjoyed it very much as Emma despite her sadness of her dad leaving them on Christmas she is still positive. it is a sad book kind of confusing but quite fun . I think it is 100% amazing
It is a really good book the main character is Em and she makes dancer storys to cheer her little sister and brother up
I love this book
I like Emily the best
I would recommend this book to everybody
I learnt that your not alone
Clean break is a really good book by Jacqueline Wilson. It is about family, friendship and how you must continue to stay strong even when you are struggling. My favourite character is Emily because she tries to make everybody happy and she is kind, caring and helpful. When I read this book at first I was like, nah I don't like this book, but as I read it, I started to like it. You learn a lot from this book and I think it should be recommended to everyone.
Em adores her funny, glamorous dad - who cares if he's not her real father? He's wonderful to her, and to her little brother Maxie and sister Vita. True to form at Christmas, Dad gives them fantastic presents, including a real emerald ring for his little Princess Em.
Unfortunately he's got another surprise in store - he's leaving them.
the pictures were weird
I really like this book because It shows how to be confident in yourself and that sometimes if you really had the new dreams might just come true I would recommend this book to anybody because it's quite easy a read end I would recommend this book to anybody because it's quite easy a read And It helps others Open up to other people.
really interesting, and I do think that em WILL be a writer!
It was good but I didn’t really love it and I would love a follow up
I liked this book as it is about a really creative girl called Emily, and I'm pretty creative myself. Em looked after her mum and her sister Vita and brother Maxie when her dad drove away from their family.Em, who was very fond of her dad, was very upset, but still got up the courage to make up stories to cheer up her family. This shows maturity.
It is so good I would recommend to people over 8
I liked the character Em the best because even though what she has been throughshe still trys her best to entertain her brother (Maxie) and sister (Vita).
I found this book ok because it was talking about this girl , Emily . It was about her life story and I don't know why but I just love stories about peoples life . I would recommend this book to 7+ to people who like reading about other peoples life story.
This story is quite sad at the being but is happy at the end of the story. I love the end because it is a cliffhanger and makes you think about what will happen next to Em. There is lots of arguments as Em’s mum and dad break up in the middle of Christmas( on Christmas Day). I would recommend it to anyone who wants a story that will take them on a rollercoaster of emotions.
JW is my favourite author! I feel sorry for Em.
This book is a factual book , one of my favourite character is Em she is adopted and the oldest child she likes to eat a lot ; she supports her mother after her father found an another girlfriend
This book was incredibly good and very touching. I found this book very touching and love the fact that the dad comes together
I love this book. Thats all I can say. Just read it.
Clean break is an amazing book, it shows a story of a family suffering the loss of their father after he laeves them for another woman ,who the children do not get on with when the dad invites them out for the day. I loved little Vite and Dancer, the glove puppet reindeer that her dad got her the day before he left. Em is a great big sister to Vita and Maxie, telling them stories to distract them from the heartbraking occurance on boxing day's moring to find dad gone. I rate this book 95/100.
It was very good, quite sad but i loved dancer and all the description used
I would like to put more than 5. It was nice because dad still loved the family but he broke up
Great book about a girl call Emily who loves her stepfather but he leaves them. Emily is my favourite character and I highly recommend this book
Very good.
Its sad when mum and dad split up and dad goes off with his girlfriend, Sarah after Christmas the children get lovely presents- Vita has red-nosed reindeer puppet, Maxie got a whole set off felt-tip pens and Emily(Em for short)got . . . an emerald ring.
Heartouching and warm, this book really reminds us that though things may go wrong, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
It's rlly good, would recommend. My favourite character is probably Em
Great
I loved this book and my favourite character was Em and I really recommend this book to you
