When Mr Grinling locks himself out of the lighthouse, he tries everything to get back inside. Not only is Hamish the cat trapped inside, he also needs to switch on the light to warn the ships that they’re near the rocks on the coast. Luckily Mrs Grinling has an ingenious plan to get back in… but will it work?

My favourite book from Ronda Armitage is the Lighthouse Keeper's Catastrophe. The best bit was when Hamish gets lost. Good luck Mr G saved him. How kind is he! Hamish is so cute because he chases the seagulls. Do you think you want to read this book because I think you might like it. Who would you recommend it to because I'm going to recommend it to you. I love this book. In the beginning when Mr G and Mrs G were fishing they got so many fish.
I liked the story, it was about a lighthouse keeper who did something wrong and then it was hard to fix it. I liked that it took so long for him to figure out and realize that the cat was locked in the lighthouse tower.
Very dramatic for Mr Grinling the lighthouse keeper. Very exciting story
