A hilarious retelling of the Three Little Pigs by Jon Scieszka.
You may think you know the story of the Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf – but only one person knows the real story. And that person is A. Wolf. His tale starts with a birthday cake for his dear old granny, a bad head cold and a bad reputation. The rest (as they say) is history.
A hilariously inventive retelling of the popular story which Publishers Weekly called the ‘Funniest book of the year’.
Jon Scieszka began to train as a doctor but left to take a course in fiction writing at Columbia University and to become a teacher. He lives in Brooklyn and spends his time writing and talking about books. Lane Smith, an acclaimed author/illustrator, has achieved major success in his collaborations with Jon Scieszka. He also provided the original concept and illustrations for the hit film James and the Giant Peach. He lives in New York.

I do not know if I believe the wolf. I thought he was telling the truth at first but I think I believe the pigs.
the wolf was nasty i wouldnt talk to it
I would recommend this book even though it wasn’t that funny. It was good to hear the wolf’s side of the story.
I think the best book because it speaks about a different perspective because wolves are always the bad one in stories so it’s nice to have the wolf’s perspective
This book was not the best but it was ok.
My favourite character was the wolf. It was ver funny.
Fiction.
A dry humoured twisted version of The Three Little Pigs.
Really great story that can evoke empathy for the ‘bad’ wolf.
Encourages reading with expression.
This is a great story, if I was a little pig I would think of the same as the third little pig.
This wolf says his part of the story but is he right read it and see it for yourself.
It was really funny so 5 stars!
I like this book, it was funny to hear what the wolf thought happened. I didn't believe him, but it was funny to think it was a cup of sugar.
I like it a little . I do not think his story is true, I don't think he is innocent
When you thing what this is the true story then you will be surprised and you will show people just what the true story is
This book is about the wolf's side of the story. The wolf thinks he isn't the baddie after all! This is a very funny book and good for any age - I read it to my 4 year old sister and she enjoyed it.
I thought the wolf was very funny telling his side of the story. He really didn't have the cold.....
Well... the real story of the three little pig is not the same as this one.
But i did like to read it and i felt sorry for the wolf.
It's funny
