How to Train Your Dragon School: Doom of the Darkwing by Cressida Cowell - School Teaching Resources

This pack contains a variety of engaging activities suitable for classroom or library sessions. Children will imagine that they are Viking warriors attending the ‘Isle of Berk’s Training School for Vikings and Dragons’. They will complete crosscurricular challenges such as making their own Viking ship, designing their own dragon and creating a comic strip adventure story.

The activities are designed for lower key stage two but can easily be adapted for younger or older students and differentiated to suit the needs of your class.

LETTERS TO OUR SONS an era-defining book on fathers and sons - submit your letters

Following the global phenomenon Adolescence, Stephen Graham wants to continue the conversation. Together with psychologist Orly Klein, he is asking fathers to write heartfelt letters to their sons – reflections on what matters most, the lessons they’ve learned, and the values they hope to pass down to the next generation. Selected letters will be published in Letters to Our Sons, a landmark book from Bloomsbury coming out in October 2026.
