For Adults
To celebrate the recent paperback publication of THE SECRET THREAD by Eve Chase, we are delighted to offer librarians and reading groups copies of the book! There are 5 sets of 5 books up for grabs.
About the book:
Even the darkest secrets unravel in time . . .
In the sultry summer of 1969, at a glittering party in the grounds of a Wiltshire manor house, two worlds collide: the Caswells, the wealthy, glamorous hosts, and the young Bramleys, who belong in the staff quarters.
But the night ends in tragedy. For decades, no one dares talk about it.
Fifty years later, in wintry London, Mimi Mott is preparing to auction the contents of her estate. A legendary interior designer, she is one of only two people alive who know what really happened. Now, she is finally ready to tell the story of that fateful summer.
Jo O’Mara, Mimi’s new assistant, must earn Mimi’s trust. But Jo comes with a secret of her own, and has to risk everything to unravel the truth – before the auctioneer’s hammer falls.
