Beautifully written, sensitive topics handled with subtlety & elegance. A surprisingly happy ending for Michael Morpurgo!
I really like the author and I liked the character Adolphus.
The war is coming. Will Adolphus Tips get caught in it?
It was really interesting and I even learnt a bit about world war 2. My favourite character was the cat adolphus tips.
This book was really interesting. Its about a war happing and this grandma wrote this and gave it to her grandson to read. And this book is really good! Go Adolphus!
A book about a family who lived on a farm in the war.
A gripping read about a Girl in ww11 who lost her cat and risked everything to try and find him.
I really really liked it because it’s about a cat who gets lost and then finds herself. I recommend it to anyone.
It was a great read for me because it was suspenseful and interesting.
I liked Lily as she has a personality like me (naughty/cheeky).
I like the cat Tips and how Sophie became friends with Bert
This book is just as good as any Michael Morpurgo. It`s exiting and full of adventure as welll as making you really feel emotion. Everyone should read this book.

Love this book!
I found the story interesting because it was set in the war and there was a cat in it. I would recommend the book to those who like historical novels and cat lovers.
I loveddd this book, but I do get sad when I found out that Lily's parents/grandad had drowned Tip's kittens.
I really like....the cats (Like I mean, cats are just the best, ok?)
Again set by my teacher so yeah.
I found a few words weird like:Tickety-boo and Boowie.
It seemed strange when Lily told her grandson that she had married this dude who was 18, when she was 12..
But you do get used to it.
Amazing.
Read It.
I liked this book as Lily( the grandmother) explains her childhood about the tragic war and how Tips goes missing and Lily sets out to try find him. My favourite part is when everyone comes back from the war and she is reunited with her family and hopes Adie survived for as long as the days travelled by. I would recommend this book
I recommend this book I like the part Tips Is found I like the grammar
I really enjoyed it but at some points in the story it scared me so I'm rating it a four
I really liked it. I enjoyed the way it was written as a diary. I love cats, so it really appealed to my taste. I would recommend.

I literally cried!
I have no words.
I would recommend this book to everyone I know it's the best book I have ever read. I am so happy I picked this book up. To anyone who is as into history, adventure, happy ending and a tiny bit of romance. Best book ever!
Tips was lost in a WW2. She is found after the war. Lily and Adie get married.
Adolphus Tips is a very good book and it is set in World War 2. It is all about Tips the cat who ran away from the American soldiers coming to practice at Slapton Sands.
I definitely enjoyed it but it was quite a long book.
My favourite characters was Tips because it is one of my favourite animals.
I would definitely recommend it for someone who likes cats.
One of the best books I have ever read
I like war stories.
I actually listen to this book on audible. But I thought it was an amazing story I had so many emotions and I felt so many emotions through it. I love the plight of Lily having to leave her village to give up to American soldiers who needed for training knowing that she might never see her cat again. I would recommend this book to all children who loves historical fiction.
Fantastic!
I think the book is amazing it has lots of details to describe the situation, so the reader knows what is going on.The story starts of with a boy and his Grandma. Her husband passes away. She decides to go and travel for a while. She sends her grandson her diary with the story of Tips, her pet cat.The story takes place during The world war 2.My favourite character was Tips the cat.I am quite fond of Lily as well, she is the main character.Yes, I would definitely recommend this to someone else.Maybe at the age of 6, as the book is a bit sad.
This is good for learning about WW2
