This is a really good book full of adventure and mystery. I really enjoyed the tests at the begining -they were very carefully thought through. Actually, the whole book was clever and well thought through! My favourite character was definitely Constance because she was VERY funny! I found the end, where she reveals her age, very surprising indeed. Thank you so much, Trenton Lee Stewart for writing this incredible story!

This book was amazing and I loved every bit of it, especially when Reynie has to take the tests and when the mysterious Benedict Society go to the Learning Institute for the Very Enlightened, as I like reading about them facing all sorts of challenges together. I also like the bit where Kate and Milligan take on Jackson and Jillson. My favourite character was Kate as she is very funny and can do loads of things that are really difficult, and I think she is an awesome character, though I like all of the characters (that aren't evil) - Constance, Reynie, Sticky, Rhonda, Number Two and Mr Benedict.

This book is about some kids that are set on a mission to stop a man from brainwashing people that don’t agree that a machine of his soothes your fears!

My favourite character is Reiyne because he can find a way to get out of any situation.

I am delighted that I chose this book and I recommend it very much if you are interested in adventure, detective stories and complex personalities of the characters.

This book is about four kids are set on a mission to stop a man from brainwashing all the people that don’t agree that his machine soothes your fears.

Even though I didn’t like the beginning I grew to adore the book throughout the story. I thought it might have been a bit too long and could have not described some of the bits the way they did. I am delighted that I chose this book and I recommend it very much if you are interested in adventure, detective stories and complex personalities of the characters.

This book is about children saving the world. I loved the adventure and mystery and many surprises. The story is full of riddles and codes. My favourite person is Kate since she always carried a bucket with bits and bobs in it such as rope, a slingshot, marbles and a telescope disguised as a kaleidoscope. My favourite phrase in the book is “Brush your teeth and kill the germs. Poison apples, poison worms. The missing aren’t missing, they’re only departed…”.

The Mysterious Benedict Society is about children who are all orphans and are needed to save the world from an evil man named Mr Curtain who means to take control over everyone’s minds.I read this fictional book because I’d started watching the television series that had just been made about it. I found it hard to keep reading at some points but ended up finishing the book. I definitely would recommend this to someone else, perhaps a Harry Potter or Fantastic Beasts fan. My favourite character was Constance Contraire, although she was the most annoying character in most of the chapters she was a great person even though she struggled to show it.

21 Jul 2021

I liked Kate because she is very adventurous and always carries her bucket.

19 Jul 2021

I liked Constance Contraire because she is clever and very stubborn even though she is only 2 years old. I would recommend this book to people who are 8 and above as it is funny but there are some scary parts.

I like this book because it sometimes does not makes sense, but then in the end all the pieces come together. It is based on 4 children; Reynie, Kate, Sticky and Constance. The children each work together to stop Mr, Benedict's evil twin
