Harry Potter is an ordinary boy who lives in a cupboard under the stairs at his Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon’s house, which he thinks is normal for someone like him who’s parents have been killed in a ‘car crash’. He is bullied by them and his fat, spoilt cousin Dudley, and lives a very unremarkable life with only the odd hiccup (like his hair growing back overnight!) to cause him much to think about. That is until an owl turns up with a letter addressed to Harry and all hell breaks loose! He is literally rescued by a world where nothing is as it seems and magic lessons are the order of the day. Read and find out how Harry discovers his true heritage at Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft, the reason behind his parents mysterious death, who is out to kill him, and how he uncovers the most amazing secret of all time, the fabled Philosopher’s Stone! All this and muggles too. Now, what are they?

All Harry Potter books are unique I would say that there one of my favourite book series’s that I’ve ever read though I am only nine
I liked Ginny Weasley because she is really funny and Harry Potter because he is really brave and cleaver.
Hermione is so smart like me. My favourite part is probably the zoo situation
It was okay
The first book- where Harry discovers a secret, and goes to Hogwarts
My favourite character is Hermione. I do recommend this book because they have fun adventures and they have to figure out secrets.
I really enjoy Harry Potter books but they do take a long time to read
It was ok
I enjoyed reading the book with mummy and I love watching the Harry Potter films
That was really good - better than the films because it had more details.
It was an amazing book. I was very interested to find out more about all of the characters and their magical adventures.
It was really amazing and astonishing! My favourite character was Hermione
It was a good book because it keeps you on the edge of your chair with lots of suspense. My favourite part was when Harry Potter got onto the quidditch team and to be the youngest player for a hundred years
So amazing
It is a fiction book. The character that I like the most is that of Hermione because though she is annoying at times, she is also very clever. The characters that I did not like are those of Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia because they are mean to Harry. I would recommend this book to someone who hasn't read it.
I thought it was really good I liked how Harry's story starts with a horrible family and then he's happy.
It was interesting, could describe character better.like the name of the spells overall it was a good book to read.
nice
I have really enjoyed reading this book! I love the way J.K. Rowling has used descriptive language! My favourite part was when Harry defeated Voldemort through Professor Quirrell ! I would recommend this book for children who love adventure stories.

Loved it. So exciting.
Great. J.k is the best author!
I like Harry Potter. I watched the films with my mummy and she let me read her books. I wish I could go to hogwarts and learn to fly a broom and be friends with Ron
I don't like Professor Snape because he always tries to ruin Harry's day.
A very mysterious book! Professor Snape is a great character, is he good or bad?
Great book.
My favourite part is when they find fluffy
