I do have penchant for Godfather/Mafia style books, I love the intrigue, double-crossing and manipulation throughout the storyline. The final twist is set up beautifully and one you don't see coming. The character of Salvatore Giuliano (Yuri) is young, idealist and frustrated by watching his island of Sicily become tarnished by the Italian government and police and desires to fight back, using the Sicilian hills and the protection of the local people.
