For Young people, Adults

Faber are offering 5 lucky reading groups the chance to win a set of up to 10 finished copies each of Songlight by Moira Buffini, the first instalment of an exciting new dystopian trilogy, for Young Adult fiction readers and above.

To enter, please contact phoebe.williams@faber.co.uk and let us know why you think your group would enjoy reading Songlight. The deadline for applications is Thursday 15 May.

If you’re successful, we’d love to hear what your group thinks about the book and for you to share your reviews on key retailer sites – please find discussion questions ready to download on this page too.

One of the five groups will also be randomly selected to win up to 10 copies of the next book in the Torch Trilogy, Torchfire, out this August.

ABOUT THE BOOK

They are hunting those who shine . . .

Don’t be deceived by Northaven’s prettiness, by its white-wash houses and sea views. Many of its townsfolk are ruthless hunters. They revile those who have developed songlight, the ability to connect telepathically with others. Friends, neighbours and family will turn on each other in an instant.

Lark has lived in grave danger ever since her own songlight emerged. Then she encounters a young woman in peril, from a city far away, and an extraordinary bond is forged. But when power is everything, how will they survive?

‘Hard-hitting, imaginative, wide-ranging.’ GUARDIAN
‘A superb opening instalment of a dystopian YA trilogy.’ THE TIMES
