My favourite character was Mira, the main character, because l liked that at first she was very shy in class but she slowly grew more confident after bonding with Jidé Jackson . I found it really interesting and it was hard to put the book down! I would definitely recommend it to anyone that was 11 plus and preferably a girl. I loved this book and I think l found yet another GREAT author.

I really enjoyed this book, which centres around a 12 year-old girl called Mira. She has a noisy, outspoken, loving family who are all trying to deal with the fact that Mira's grandmother is dying. The story is told in a very sensitive way, but is not morbid or crass. The author uses gentle humour and contrasting themes, such as Mira beginning her first relationship with a boy, to offset the serious subject matter. The book also gets you thinking about what makes a family and how people leave their mark on the world. I would recommend it to secondary school age readers, mainly girls (because of the romance element).

I really enjoyed this book because it was interesting and was sad but happy at different parts of the story. My favourite character is Krish because he is sporty and funny just like me. I would definitely recommend this book to someone else.

I loved this book. I am reading her books backwards so this is Sita Brahmachri's first novel but about the third or fourth I have read. It is about a young person's relationship with her grandma and her grandma's journey to death from cancer. It's also about growing up and first experiences. I am drawn to positive books for young people about death and this is so warm and heart-achingly beautiful. I would totally recommend this book.

This is quite an advanced book in my opinion more of a Year 7 girls book. It has an element of romance, puberty, joy and death. It is very good and worthwhile read.

This is a heart warming tale of friendship and love. When Mira's Nana Josie begins to die, her world starts spinning out of control. Then she starts to fall in love with the mysterious but confident Jide Jackson... I can't wait to read the second book Jasmine skies.

it is a story about Mira Levenson, who is keeping secrets from her whole family and family, and she is falling in love with Jide Jackson. this is a story for older girls. i think it can relate to you in many ways, like a big change and the death of someone you love. it lets you see what kind of big changes can happen on your eleventh or twelveth birthday. (excuse the spelling mistake)
