Since his childhood in the Deepwoods, young Twig has always longed to soar above the forest canopy and explore the sky. Now a lowly crew-member on his father’s sky pirate ship, the Stormchaser, his dream seems fulfilled. But a much higher destiny awaits Twig.

The second book in the action-packed story of Twig.
I love this series. The way the universe of The Edge is described it is easy to forget it is not a real place. Brilliant characters, the mean ones are so awful you cheer when they reach a sticky end. The good ones are so likable, I shed a tear when the poor Banderbear died.
I am starting the next one immediately!
Cloud Wolf's quartermaster smuggles Twig aboard in their search for Stormphrax and he tries to kill Cloud Wolf and betray him. What I liked about this book is that Twig actually got to fly a sky ship. The name of the sky ship was "The Wind cutter." He completed the search for Stormphrax and got a whole chest of it. I would recommend this book to people who like adventures.
I enjoyed this book, but it's not quite as good as Beyond the Deepwoods
this book is absolutely flabbergasting
