Really interesting way to find out about history

I thought it was a good read because we learn about the history of the British Empire and what happened back then. I thought it was a bit cruel and sad as lots of people died. It was factual so it interested me because I like learning about history. I would recommend it to someone as it tells us all about what are happened in the past.

This fact book included information regarding slavery and what British people did to get them. It was a gruesome book thou it told me many facts to do with our history. Although informative this book was not a fun book or enjoyable for me. If you don't mind reading gruesome information and want to learn more history then this is the book for you.

I like this book because it had lots of funny jokes

It interests me as they do not go into A lot of detail about the British empire at school.
I would recommend it to anyone who likes history and find about things.

It interested me because... the people that were in charge were so mean to the poorer people [slaves] and sent some of the slaves to Australia!!!

I like history and the book is funny.The book even has a quiz at the end!

That was a giant British Empire! Lots of countries around the world!

Now I've read the whole of Terry Deary's horrible histories books. But I've heard that a new series is out and theres a new rat on the front cover but anyway this review is about Barmy British Army. This book tells you about wierd wars, slave trade, why a soldier used his own cofin as a wardrobe? and much more.It has 11 chapters packed full of informaiton an epilogue, an interesting index and a grousom grisy quiz to test your knowledge on the British empire. After reading this book Ican safly say that Terry Deary was right at choosing the name BARMY BRITISH EMPIRE!!!!!!!

I do not think slavery is a good idea.

I really enjoyed reading this book because of the way they deliver the information. It is very funny but disgusting.

It is gruesome and very informative, though I would ONLY recommend it if those were the sort of things you like! I also think you'd like other things by him!
