After reading Skellig during my school years, I followed it up with reading the proclaimed prequel "My name is Mina". This is another prize-worthy read from Almond. The book allows you to explore Mina's thoughts and perspectives as she considers subjects from grief to the reality of SATS. Mina is a delightful child who is better suited to alternate schooling. Mina's open heart and mind allow the reader to immerse themselves in lessons about life, love and the beautiful world around us. Various narrative styles are used (dreams, thoughts, poems) which engages the reader further and encapsulates one in Mina's mind where we allowed to explore her thoughts and feelings.
This book was really good. I liked it because I got to find out more about the character mina and about her life.
I have read Skelling and I really liked it so I read this book.

I like this book because it is kind of like a diary and it is very imaginative like me,
And it has lots of quotes.

quite good! about a home-schooled girl which imagines everything in a different way from others. she has a cool tree which she climbs in and her grandfather gives Mina a house in his will.
This book is alright in my opinion but you should definitely read it to find out if u like it or not ! <3
Good book but I am not that fussed about it. You should read it and find out if u like it or not ! :D
this book is just so different to anything I've ever read before. it's almost as if by the end, you've known Mina all your life.
I think you should read this book because it is about an adventurous girl called Mina who tells you all about her adventures and sometimes random thoughts. If you like this one you should definitely read SKELLIG.
This is a long book with 300 pages. It was so interesting I didn't want to put the book down. This was best book I have ever read
