The Tiger Who Came to Tea

I want the tiger to come to my house.

I have read this book so many times to my own children and children at my teaching placements. I have used this book as a fictional story as well as talking about the value of sharing and family, and of building friendships. This book never gets old!

A classic, one that a lot of younger kids seem to enjoy and love to talk about and see. As well as the reader there are a lot of opportunities for voices.

I like that the tiger ate everything.

I love this story because the tiger eats all the food and drinks all the drink.

This book in interesting. I liked when the tiger drank all the tea. Also I think that Sophie and her mummy were very nice and kind to the tiger.

I love this story but this is the first time I’ve read it myself. It was fun to read and imagine the voices and I love the story. It was also a nice break between big books.

I really like this book, I have read it lots since I was little. My favourite character is the tiger. I like it when he drinks all the water from the tap and all of dad’s beer. I think every child should read this book.
