Peace at Last

It's about Mr Bear, who is very tired and longs for some peace to go to sleep. But everywhere he tries to rest, there is a noise stopping him! First in the bedroom he hears the ticking clock and his wife snoring loudly. Then in the kitchen it’s the tap dripping. Even in the baby’s room there are little sounds keeping him awake. He tries every room in the house looking for quiet, but something always disturbs him! I enjoyed following him around the house trying to find somewhere quiet. It made me feel calm and also giggle at all the noises. The pictures are lovely too.

I like it when Mr Bear tries to sleep in lots of different places because it's very funny.

I enjoyed Peace at Last because it is funny and relatable, one of my all time favorite stories. I liked how Mr Bear keeps getting disturbed when he is trying to sleep. It made me think about how annoying it can be when you are tired but there is lots of noise around you.

I would recommend it to young children, especially ages 3–6, because it is simple, easy to follow and has funny illustrations. There aren’t any major content warnings, although some children might find the noises a little annoying or silly.

I didn’t like this story.

An all time classic that will always be loved by children and adults alike. We have all been there desperate to fall asleep. The children will love the repetition and familiar setting.

I enjoyed this book because it was written by one of my favourite authors Jill Murphy. I like Mr Bear because he couldn't sleep because of all kinds of different noises! I would recommend this book because it is very funny and a must read book.

This book made me feel happy because Mr Bare could not sleep. I enjoyed this book because it is very fun going on the adventure with Mr Bear. I would recommend this book for a good laugh. This book is very interesting and has lovely illustrations.

I thought it was funny when Mr Bear slept in the car. You don't sleep in the car, you only sleep in your bed!

I loved this book. I liked baby bear playing with his aeroplane. Mr bear couldn’t get any sleep but Mrs baby and baby bear did.
