Mario Kart meets The 13 Storey Treehouse in this thrilling new series from the author of The Christmas Carrolls The time has come for four children to be named the new Protectors of Imagination Island. In an event that only happens once every 80-100 years, children all over the world scour the globe in search of lightstreams (portals) to the magical island where anything they imagine comes to life. To become a Protector, they must compete in teams and complete a series of challenges to prove they have what it takes. But not everyone will make it to the next level of Imagination Island, and the last person to reach the checkpoint will be transported back home immediately… Dreamy 10-year-old Luca is afraid of everything, not least the lightstream he stumbles into by accident. I would recommend this book because it was about not giving up.
I loved this book, it helped me let my imagination run wild and the value of friendship.
Fantastic pacy adventure with diverse characters and good themes. Loved the rap battle and can’t wait for next in series.
This is a purely fun adventure / fantasy story that will help hook children into the joy of reading. It could be read aloud to children from year 2. There are also fantastic illustrations. I can’t wait for book 2
I really liked the plot - that Luca is the only person who doesn't want to be on Imagination Island but he is on Imagination Island! I love how Aly loves ketchup. I definitely recommend this book.
Quick read - would be great for children who struggle with anxiety! Quite simplistic and easy to follow.
