Ever since the gods of Ancient Egypt were unleashed on the modern world, Carter Kane and his sister, Sadie, have been in big trouble. As descendants of the magical House of Life, they command certain powers. But now a terrifying enemy – Apophis, the giant snake of chaos – is rising.

I've enjoyed following the Kanes. I think it also has sickle cell references which is good.
Exciting story. Sadie and Carter Kane have to bring back Ra from the Duat. The best part of the story was when Ra woke up and started speaking nonsense; it was really funny. I would recommend this book to children over 7 because it's scary, funny and dangerous.
Carter and his sister Sadie must awaken the Egyptian sun god Ra to help defeat the god of chaos , Apophis .
I liked this book because it was fun, adventurous and thrilling.I would recommend this book to people who like stories and exciting adventures.
I loved it more than the previous book The Red Pyramid, especially when Bes came and shouted ‘Boo!’. That was really funny.
I liked this book. It had a lot of action, you never k re what was going to happen next. It follows the same storyline as the first book which is why I’ve only given it 4 stars. But I would still recommend it.

A amazing mix of myth and modern.
I liked this book because the Egyptian gods have been escaped. And I like Apophis that rise because the brothers and sisters were going to fight him. I would recommend it to a family.

it was ok it was interesting but it was not my type of ineteresting
This is a great book with a mixture of everything I like. Thrill, adventure and just a hint of romance. I wouldn't say that it is targeted at a specific age group and I think it will be a fun read for anyone.
SO GOOD! A good 2nd book of the incredible series by Rick Riordan! Such a good book, I would recommend it to people aged 9+

I hadn't read the previous book in the series in a long time but it was easy to understand and the plot was complicated but funny at the same time. It followed the story of two siblings, Carter and Sadie Kane. They were different characters and they split up at various points which meant that there was a lot happening. They each had every other chapter so this made it easy to understand. It's a brilliant book and, once again, I'd definitely recommend this title.
Also good but not really that good. :)
I love this book from top to bottom. For starters, this book is full of action and humor. I love the characters and how they really show use show not tell and the way the dramitized it and created suspension and and a veil of mystery. This is why I gave this book a 5 star review.
Loved it! Fave character definitely Sadie Kane. She's super funny. One of the best books ever.
amazing
Absolutely superb book.
Rick Riordan is a storytelling legend!!
Wow
This is the second in the series, about stopping a giant snake eating the sun! The main characters Sadie and Carter discover more Egyptian gods in America and other places. I liked it.
I like the chapter reading - this follows on from the first book really well. I like the story telling and the adventure.
I liked Sadie the best as she is daring and adventurous and can understand things. I would recommend this book to people interested in mythology
In this book, Sadie and Carter Kane have to find Ra the god of order but they will have to travel through 12 places and have another sacrifice. This time Bes, the ugly god of dwarfs, will have to sacrifice his ren to give Sadie and Carter 3 more hours to kill Menshikov and try to stop Apophis, god of Chaos.
