I absolutely LOVE this book! It is so engaging and is dark, magical and romantic. Out of the 2 book in the Inkheart trilogy, this one is definitely my favourite. It tells a story of a girl called Meggie, who longs to see the Inkworld herself after all her mother told her about it. She then reads herself and a boy called Farid into the story, and soon finds herself wandering the streets of Ombra, where she is reunited with a a man called Fenoglio. When Meggie finds that Mo is in this world and is very injured , she travels to find him, but soon finds herself stuck in a situation that she did not bargain for.
My favourite character is Resa as I find her such a brave and loving character, who stood strong for her husband when he was injured. She has such a kind heart and has been through so much torture, yet she still loves.
Awesome!…
My favourite character is Meggie and I can’t wait to see what happens in Inkdeath. I would recommend this book to people that like fantasy books.
In this book I don't have a favourite character because they're all so good!
Not as good as the first book.
It was so amazing-it went all wrong and the adder head got made immortal. now there is a lot of danger for the next book!
While I was reading this book, I actually felt as if I was really in the ink world watching the pages of this book unfold in front of my eyes.
This is proof that Cornelia wrote this book amazingly well and that this book 100% interested me and made me want to read on and on endlessly.
My favourite character in this book is Dustfinger because even by his actions you can never tell what he’s thinking about and what he’s going to do next.
If there is anyone looking for a good book to read over the holidays or at any time of the year, this is a book that I would fully recommend to them.
I truly enjoyed reading this book, the second in the trilogy of Inkheart. I would recommend reading the first book first. Meggie's friend Farid really wants to go back into Inkheart to visit his mentor, Dustfinger. Meggie agrees to read him into it, but under one condition: she comes with him. Once her parents find out she has left, they try to follow her and everyone ends up in the book. They end up stuck in dangerous situations, meeting the evil Adderhead and his sidekicks, the royal family and many more. I would really recommend this book, I just couldn't put it down!
I really loved this exciting and fast-paced book, with lots of twists and turns! This is the second book in a trilogy, so I definitely recommend reading the first book 'Inkheart' before you start this book. When Dustfinger disappears into the Inkworld, Farid, his eager student, wants to follow him. He asks Meggie for her help and she agrees, but only if she can come along as well. Whe Meggie's parents find out, they go after her to protect her. They all end up in lots of dangerous places and situations. I would highly recommend reading this book!
A beautiful sequel to the first book Inkheart, the old and new characters are amazing to read about and the visuals described in this book are beautiful.
This book is an amazing fiction book. My favourite character is Bluejay because he is really brave and courageous. I recommended this series of books to my younger sister and she is now reading Inkheart, the first book.
It was really good and I enjoyed it lots and would recommend it but it is quite long and could have been a tiny bit shorter.
This book was amazing. When I read inkheart and couldn't wait to read inkspell and when I did It blew my mind. I would recommend this book to people who like big reads and really like lots of words as Cornelia reall6 likes to write a lot.
This book is in a trilogy and is the second, following Inkheart. It can be read before, however, as I did. It is an adventure story. I would recommend it as 9+.
Inkspell is the story of a girl called Meggie Folchart, her father Mo, Fenoglio, the creator of the Inkworld, and a writer who enjoys writing sad endings, Dustfinger, a fire eater, and Farid, Dustfinger's devoted apprentice and admirer of Meggie.
Meggie and Mo have the rare ability to read characters out of books. Meggie discovers that Dustfinger has returned to the Inkworld, his home which he had been out of for 10 years, and immediately decides to follow him with Farid. The pair of them are read into the book by Meggie, and they both start to search, Farid for Dustfinger, and Meggie for Fenoglio, so he can write the words for Meggie to read herself into her own world.
Meanwhile, Mo and his wife are in trouble, as Basta, an evil fireraiser and his deceased master's mother Mortola have paid them a visit. With the help of Orpheus/Cheeseface, another person with the same gift as Mo and Meggie have, they have Mo and Resa read into the Inkworld with them. But, with the Adderhead(the prince) in charge, they are even more powerful. Basta, who is in love with his knife and a skilled thrower with one, throws it at Mo, hitting him just next to the heart.
What will happen, and will the Folcharts ever get reunited, in the huge Inkworld?
PHENOMENAl!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's full of adventure and magic as well as some some sad bits
Brilliiant story
Sequel to Inkheart which has more adventure and characters then before. Love this book and it is a cliff hanger and a page turner. If you like Harry Potter you would like this book.
Dustfinger finds a way back to the Inkworld and Meggie knows she must follow. Farid asks Meggie to read him to the inkworld too and reads herself in with him. Mo soon realises what Meggie has done and gets Orpheus to read him in the Inkworld where Mortola(The Magpie) shoots him.
excellent just excellent
