Until this I'd never read anything by Lucy Clarke, but I'll be looking for more of her books now because this is a real page-turner. Two sisters, Lori and Erin, had planned a dream holiday together on a Fijian island, but things go badly wrong and Lori flies off without her sister. The plane goes missing and none of the passengers or crew are found so it’s eventually assumed that everyone perished. Two years later, the pilot turns up alive and well, and it emerges he’s been working under an alias in Fiji so Erin immediately returns to Fiji to search for her sister and discover the truth of what happened. The novel is written in two strands, telling the stories of both sisters, and the author keeps the tension high with plenty of twists. I loved the pace, the characters and locations and thought it was a terrific read.
