Alice Tonks would love to make friends at boarding school. And, being autistic, she just wants people to accept her for who she is. But after a rather strange encounter with a talking seagull on her first day, she suddenly has a new challenge and a lot of questions.
Animals are going missing and Alice can’t solve the mystery alone. With new friends behind her, can Alice harness her magic powers and become the hero she never imagined?

It was dust amazing!
I can’t tell you how amazing
quite fun but not too breathtaking
keep up the good effort Emily
The story takes place at a boarding school in Pebblehampton, by the sea, and Alice is starting at the school. Alice has autism and finds change really hard. On her first day, while Alice is at the beach, a seagull called Agent-T talks to her! From this point on Alice finds out that she is special and has to help solve the mystery of disappearing animals from Pebblehampton. The story is about friendship, believing in yourself and taking risks to help others. There are some great twists in this book and some characters are not who you think they are! There are secrets which are revealed and a really nasty villain who reminded me a bit of Bellatrix Lestrange in the HP books. This is a great book for diversity and representing a neurodiverse character as the main protagonist. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be recommending it to my students. My 11yo loved it too!
