This is going to be useful! Both my son aged 13 and I have a copy to help improve our vocabulary. Set out in themes as well as word classes, we found ourselves discussing our favourite words and any we had not met before. i think I will use some pages to support my class in their writing too.

A fantastic book to help children improve the quality of their writing. It clearly explains aspects of grammar. It also provides lists of alternative words to use. It is presented in an appealing way with cartoons and doodles. I’d like to have a few copies of this book in my classroom for children to refer to when writing.
