If you like history fiction this is for YOU!
i think it is a really good book and i recommend it
This book was a little bit strange and I thought that it could be made a little bit better by making it a bit more realistic
It was really funny
great fantasy about WW2
It's about a monkey and a boy saving all animals from enternurnal danger
i thought it was rather scary as it is set in war
It is all about a boy who wants to help his friend corrilla and i like this book because the boy never gave up in his dreams and goals
scary yet brave
Really funny and exciting book x
This is a really interesting historical book about a fictional account of WW2. The book shows how animals were mistreated in the blitz of WW2 and had some very interesting Fake spies. I really enjoyed this book as trying to hide a gorilla on a tube train seemed like a ridiculous idea. Walliams has once again written a unrealistic but engaging, interesting and amusing book I would recommend to all.
I loved this book!
This book is very silly. My favourite chapter was ‘Penguin Poo’! I would recommend this for 5-9 year olds.
This book is an epic comedy adventure set in World War II with an animal at the centre of the story I love gurtude and Eric this book was so funny
I found this book really funny.
I liked the gorilla in the story because he was crazy.
It was a fun book to read.
I told my friends to read it.
Excellent book
Great adventure story filled with action.
I like this book as it was about a boy and an animal and I love animals
This book is very funny, my favorite part was when he found out the code name was bananas because he liked gorillas.
This book is very entertaining and great.
The gorilla made me laugh
I really enjoyed codename bananas because there were lots of animals in it and it had a happy ending. I liked Sid with his tin legs I'm Gertrude kept on making rude noises. It was really funny when they dressed Gertrude up as a baby and she was sucking on a stick of rock. Sid and Eric were dressed up as two ladies Eric had a swim had a swimming costume on in the winter.
I recommend this book because it's funny but also sad, because it's about the world war but the gorilla in it is really funny, as are the boy and the man.
It was really funny and I love the twist. I also like books based on real things like the war.
Amazing! Funny, hilarious, tense but really good!
Bananas. I like erik the best. It interested me because the cover looked really good. Yes I would recomend the book to all me friends
I thought it was a sad, adventurous, fun book. my favourite person is Drusilla the gorilla. I think this is a fiction book and I would recommend this book to my friends.
It was amazing and it had lots of funny bits throughout. I would definitely recommend this book.
It was very funny and interesting. I didn't want to stop reading it. Eric goes through so many adventures with Sid and Gertrude. My favouriite character was Gertrude the gorilla because I love animals and she's really funny. She did significant things to keep everyone safe. I also like how all the characters meet te royal family as a reward.
I felt like this book was very adventurous because Eric would've been considered a normal boy if he didn't have that special bond with Gertrude the gorilla. It was also a very touching book because he forgot about all the dangers there would be rescuing the gorilla. I liked Uncle Sid the best because he looked after Eric. This book is one anyone should read but I would say read it bit by bit and not altogether so you can enjoy the story
