I like how April made a friendship with Bear
Amazing book but the beginning isnt the best
It was a good book that taught about global warming.
I know this is a very popular book but I found it requiring Disney level suspension of belief.
The book was beautifully written and the words conjured up images of the rugged beauty of the island. This book would be suitable for upper key stage two children. I cannot wait to read the sequel.
This story was sad but it made me smile. There were some funny bits too. I liked how the polar bear was still like an animal, not a talking character.
It’s really sad but also so interesting, the bond between bear and April is amazing! I loved it my favourite character is April, wood
This is a gem of a book! It is so relevant to everything the world is facing but April restores your faith in people. The world needs more Aprils!
I liked that it was an adventure and that April finally found someone that wanted to be her friend.
I loved how it was a story of friendship
There is a father that works with the weather company and he is sent to Bear Island with his daughter to find how climate will affect the future. His daughter finds the LAST BEAR and she help it because there's a wire tide to the bear's leg.
Found that this book has a really deep message calling for everyone to protect the planet and especially the Arctic.
It was a wonderful book a bit sad but good book
Loved it
Love love love this book excited for the second one
It is amazing. I just loved this book too much. I don't want to say more.
A lovely read. Could provide excellent opportunities for discussions on climate change and the impact our actions have on the planet. Excellent setting description and the characters are very likeable. An emotional and heartwarming story.
I think it’s extremely emotional because at the end of the book when April has to say goodbye to bear, the author made it very tense.
It is good but is a bit babyish because the language is extremely simple. I would recommend it for 7-9 year olds.
A mesmerising and powerful read with a strong female character and a powerful environmental message.
This book was spectacular with the pictures I pictured extremely detailed in my brain and love how she uses strong and powerful techniques to catch those emotions
I really enjoyed this book. It was quite sad. I’ve recommended this to my nanny as she loves polar bears!
I recommend this book. It’s really nice. It’s emotional
This book was amazing very heart warming and makes me change my mind about polar bears. A brilliant book about friendship I would recommend this book to all.
A mesmerising story, full of emotion. Would tie in with Climate Change WAU topic. Perfect read for 7-9 year olds.
This book is full of emotions like sadness and happiness. I hope to be able to write a story like this author!
It was very touching and a brilliant read. 100% recommended
I love this book as it is very inspiring and it inspired me to be more aware of climate change.
This book opened my my and made me relies how badly effected polar bears are by climate change. I love April and how she gives bear all her heart and faces her fear to help protect him. This book made me feel so warm especially the beautiful moment at the end.
Fantastic read - Year 3 class loved it
