But I didn’t think I was going to have to turn into a detective as well!
Sam, Frixos, Tanya, Sausage and I are the Cooking Club Detectives, and we have a mystery to solve. The community centre – my new favourite place – has suddenly been threatened with closure, but by who and why?
We’re going to find out!

In this book, the girls researched for information about the closure of their local community centre, Skipton. In the end they were surprised to find out that one of the girls' dad was buying Skipton. They told their classmates about this and wrote something that they loved doing in the community centre to show the buyer that how they love Skipton. The girls later found out the buyer was renovating Skipton instead of rebuilding the centre.
I would recommend this book to someone else because I think it was quite exciting.
The book, cooking club detectives, was a likeable mystery book. The person I liked the best was Erin and I also liked Erin's new detective dog Sausage. I recommend this book to someone who likes mystery and detective work.

Gentle tale of friendship and community. Sensitively looks at food poverty, poor housing and general inequality. Includes recipes which is always a winner with me.
