Amelie loved Reese. And she thought he loved her. But she’s starting to realise love isn’t supposed to hurt like this. So now she’s retracing their story and untangling what happened by revisiting all the places he made her cry. Because if she works out what went wrong, perhaps she can finally learn to get over him.

What a compelling read and a really important book about abusive relationships, hopefully healing to those that recognise past relationships in it and it will help to raise awareness for others. Holly Bourke thank you for your book it is so well written with humour and kindness it will help many others to trust their guts and not to ignore red flags.
Amazing!
This book was amazing and I would definitely recommend this book to other readers but would set the age to probably a 12 or 13+.
Amelie fell hard for Reese. And she thought he loved her too. But she’s starting to realize that real love isn’t supposed to hurt like this. So now she’s retracing their story, revisiting all the places he made her cry. Because if she works out what went wrong, perhaps she can finally learn to get over him.
Absolutely loved it, especially how it's set
A book that deals with (un)healthy relationships. The protagonist Amelie moves from Sheffield to London, leaving her childhood friends and boyfriend behind. A talented musician but a shy introvert Amelie is beyond flattered when cool boy Reese shows an interest in her. A lot of us are lucky enough to feel the thrill of a first love, but unfortunately too many of us also suffer at the hands of people who can play with our emotions and make us doubt our own self worth. An important topic and a book that is definitely worth a read.
It took a while to get into it but once I got going I wanted to keep reading. The story is predictable but heartbreaking at the same time. It is great for teenagers to read to make them aware about dangerous situations and what is not acceptable.
A hard-hitting book for older teens on what love is and isn't. It demonstrates how easy it is to be drawn into a controlling relationship and the importance of seeking help and listening to what those who care for you are saying. Whilst some of Amelie's actions seemed a little far fetched I found it a compelling read and a valuable book about the nature of relationships and friendships.
Fiction - the characters were not very engaging the storyline was a bit weak not my favourite book
Such a powerful book about love, pain, heartbreak, control and recovering from bad relationships. Really highly recommended to anyone who is a teenager, or who has ever been one.
