Eleven-year-old Maxwell is always, always in trouble. While visiting
an elderly neighbour, he comes across a mysterious cabinet of
curiosities and suddenly finds himself erased from his life: it’s
as if he’s never existed. Maxwell needs to find a way to reverse
his erasure, with the help of his best friend Charlie and his
sister Bex.

My favourite character was Charlie and the part I found interesting and unexpected was when he switched of all of the electricity at school. I would definitely recommend this book to people who love mystery and unexpected happenings.
I liked this book because it was well - described and had a good plot!
It was a very interesting book because it was a book that had many problems for the hero to overcome with many excellent characters and scenes. The book shows freedom, friendship and family
I thoroughly enjoyed this book as I loved the thrill of mystery and wonder of excitement. I had three favourite characters: Maxwell, as it is interesting to see how he changes, Bex, because it is strange to see how different she is when Maxwell is not there and Monster because he kind of sets the whole story when he is the first thing Maxwell worries about when he becomes erased.
I enjoy this Kind of book
Because it’s like real life
I liked this book because Maxwell
is really naughty at school and he gets told off loads of times he sneaks into a concert and turns off the electricity so the concert can’t go on. He gets erased and he loses his mum and dad and his sister Bex I loved this book!
This was a good book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it as it was full of adventures. You had to figure out how to get back into the real world.
It was full of adventure and extremely detailed. Amazing book
This was a fiction book and the person I liked the best was Maxwell. It interested me because I love dogs. I would recommend this book to children age 8-11
I listened to this as an audio book. It was fun. Grandpa was great giving £10 to the children
I listened to this as an audio book. I liked the funny dogs name Monster. I like it when Grandpa gave £10 to the children.
This is a fantastic book! Very exciting!
It was a exciting book and really made me think
Liked it. Some things seemed a bit trite or rather, unworked or not thought through completely. I liked it though. Liked the dawning realisation that things for Maxwell have changed and that he no longer exists for any of the people in his life…most especially, Monster, his fat rescue beagle…
Liked the character of Reg…
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Lots of humour to appeal to year 5/6 but an important message about how important each person is and the impact they have on the people around them. Great storyline.
Didn't like this one that much, bit scary at some points.
I liked the part when he got confused where he was and I hated the part where he got into trouble.I would recommend this to my mum
I really enjoyed this book because i thought it was very funny. This is because the main character Maxwell is going round while he has been erased telling everyone their dark secrets they have not told anyone else but they can't remember ever knowing him. However,it was also a sad book since later on in the book one of the characters(Reg) who has severe memory loss lets Maxwell stay with him and he reveals that he erased himself after his wife Emily died of an uncureable illness. My favourite character was Reg who used to be Maxwell's elderly neighbour because he is kind, owns lots of random objects and he understands how Maxwell feels.I would recommend this to someone who wants a funny and medium-level read.

I thought that this book was an extremely funny but also heart-touching book. This is because it was sad when one of the main characters (Reg), begins reminising about his wife (Emily), who had died due to an uncureable illness. This made me feel really sorry for Reg.However, i found it quite funny because he is going around telling everyone their personal secrets yet they think of him as a stranger. My favourite character was Reg because he never remembers who Maxwell ( the main character who is erased) is and so everytime Maxwell visits him, he has to remind Reg who he is. Reg is also very kind and lets Maxwell live in his house while he has been erased.I would recommend this to someone who wants to read something funny but imaginitive I think that it is quite imaginitive since it address' everything you might feel and do if you had actually been erased. This is why i really enjoyed this book.
i liked this book because it is about being grateful with what you have, and it was quite funny. i would recommend it because it is a nice read for any day.
I didn't enjoy it as much as 'The Goldfish Boy' but it was okay. I think the pace slowed considerably about half way through and it wasn't as enjoyable to read. My favourite character was probably Reg. I would recommend it as it is an interesting concept.
I liked Maxwell the best then I would like monster. And my best part is when he gets into the band where Jaz and Baz
I like this book because it is very interesting and I have never heard of someone being erased my favourite person would be the little boy who was erased it interested me because I find this book intersecting and gets me thinking what if I was erased? I would recommend it to kids my age because I personally think they will like it coming from my experience
This is great. I liked the part when he didn't know that he didn't exist anymore.
It was fairly good, though I did find it a bit boring halfway through
10/10! I really liked the part when Maxwell was actually erased with a magical egg. That part was quite surprising!
I loved how their was puzzles to solve. Nice!
Very heart warming book, lovely story.
It's a very interesting book and about how a person can change and try to be better and care about those around them
