It’s a great book for kids who enjoy funny stories and big adventures.
The book was exciting, funny, and full of adventure. I liked how Elsie helped the mammoth and made new friends.Elsie, because she is brave, clever, and always tries to do what’s right.
I did enjoy this book and it taught me a lot about the past as it was set a long time ago. It was really interesting to read about woolly mammoths and it was super exciting that one had been found and brought back to the UK. Elsie, the orphan, was very intrigued to find out more about the woolly mammoth and it was really heartwarming when she made friends with Dotty, the museum cleaner. The plan with the professor was very funny and long winded but it ended up with the woolly mammoth coming back to life! It was really fun to read about their plans to get her back home to the North Pole to her family.
It was all about a girl named Elsie who was poor
My favourite part was when Woolly didn’t have to die.
Amazing detail
The best one yet! I loved the mammoth, Woolly.
love DW
Great and funny read
I rated this book a 5* rating because of the thrilling scenes that the book has in it. I espicially love the part of where the mammoth finds his family at the end of the story because it has a happy ending and also when the swat team bash open the door with a battering ram and rammed into the proffessor.
Loved this book! I like all David Walliams as his books are really funny and exciting. I thought Elsie was really brave and I want to be like her.
It was brilliant, I really want to go to London now and visit the history museum and see Buckingham palace and the Thames. I looked forward to bedtime every night Elsie, was so cool. Dotty was funny when she was talking to the queen. Titch was good too I like that he got recognised for his hard work at the end. Definitely one of my favourites this summer.

I liked the book because Woolly (the mammoth) always saved the day!
Very good and intriguing but sad at times.
How did the wooly mammoth survive and how tough was the ice
Adventurous, comical, sometimes sad but overall quite exciting!
This book was fabulous! It was all about a young girl Who finds a Woolly mammoth in a block of Ice and when the mammoth breaks free from the ice people try to kill it.
I would recommend this book to other people who like olden day animals like dinosaurs and sabertooth tigers/Ice age period.
I really enjoy how David Walliams describes characters.
I liked all the ups and downs in the story and my favorite characters were Elsie and Dotty...... especially as Dotty was dramatic!

Wasn’t a very big fan of this book because I found it a bit slow, and quite blocky.
