Amy Anne is shy and soft-spoken, but don’t mess with her when it comes to her favorite book in the whole world. Amy Anne and her lieutenants wage a battle for the books that will make readers laugh and pump their fists as they start a secret banned books locker library, make up ridiculous reasons to ban every single book in the library to make a point, and take a stand against censorship.
Reminiscent of the classic novel Frindle by Andrew Clements, Ban This Book is a love letter to the written word and its power to give kids a voice.

Excellent portrayal of a reader denied access to her favourite book which then expands to the whole book banning issue and who can make that judgement. Fighting back against arbitary decisions made by authority. REBEL KIDS
This is a beautifully written, thought-provoking book, sure to spark many a debate. Amy Anne is incensed when, on a regular visit to her school library, she is told that she isn't allowed to check out her favourite book. Why? Because it's been banned. From one book to a multitude, slowly but surely more and more books disappear from the school library. Fortunately Amy Anne and her friends come up with a solution - a secret library of the prohibited books. A brilliant spotlight on the debate.
