I like how in the story friends have to support each other .
I really enjoyed this book, the first I have read by Kim Slater. At 14 years of age, Calum really shouldn't be left at home alone for days, but whilst dad is away working, he is. At school, Calum hangs out with the wrong crowd and of course he ends up in trouble. Sergei has moved into town, fleeing from Poland where his life was in danger, and he is soon noticed at school and falls victim to the bullies. When Calum and Sergei's lives collide outside of school, Calum is challenged about his behaviour and freiendships. A good read for children aged 10+
This book is absolutely outstanding it is funny but also sad at times. I couldn't put it down! This is a fiction story and my favourite character was Amelia as she is so helpful and full of fun. I would recommend this book to any one in the age range of 9-13
