St Regulus AJ

This book a very readable. At the end of the Second Word War life begins to return to normal but some things have changed forever. Gus arrives home with a new wife. And she is German. The author deftly handles Krista’s struggles to cope in the country of her husband where she is still seen by many as the Enemy.

In 1974 a body of a woman is found buried among the roots of a sycamore tree in a London garden. She has had a baby and suffered a head wound. But who was she?

The mood of post-war London is well portrayed and the mystery of the first chapter remains in the background of your mind until the very end.
