This debut novel from US cartoonist Terri Libenson follows two girls who could not seem more different: shy, observant, wallflower Emmie; and loud, popular, cheery Katie. What both girls do have in common are their strong feelings for the same boy, Tyler Ross. Then Emmie’s very private, very embarrassing scribbles fall into the wrong hands . . .

Invisible, Emmie is a really good book at the beginning. She turns really shy and she has not many friends, but in the end she makes a lot of friends. I am really happy that Emmie has got some new friends, but at least she still has her old one for all of her life.

I hadn’t realised that this was the first book in the Terri Libensen collection. Really like the idea of two stories in one and finding the connections between them both - how they intersect with one another but from such different perspectives. Like the different drawing styles through which the two stories are presented. Surprised that more people haven’t read it…📚

A great book about standing up for yourself. Very relatable. Is partially a comic. I think anyone above the age of 8 can enjoy this book.
