cool
This is a great book about a girl named Crow who is washed up on an island. Osh and Miss Maggie care for her. Slowly Crow realises people step away from her in the street, open the door for her or edge away. Then she starts to ask questions like: Where am I from? Who are my real parents? Will I see them again? Soon she starts exploring and finds out people thinks she comes from Penikese, an island where there used to be a leper colony. Crow uses clues and meets people but will she ever find her parents? This book is great for those over eight.
My favorite character was Crow.
Yes I would recommend it.
This is a fiction book and the main character is an orphan who turns up in an island having being out in a basket and sent away by sea from a leper colony. It was set around about a hundred years ago in the USA
At first I didn't really like it, but then I got hooked
Crow wants to know a lot of things like who her parents were, does she have a brother, where is she from and who she is meant to be. It takes a lot of effort and help from Osh and Miss Maggie but eventually Crow discovers her family history.
this book was about a girl who tried to find her real mum and dad. it was so amazing and brilliant.
Sad, dreamy and mysterious. I loved it.
This book was amazing! I totally recommend it to people who like mystery books.
This is a very interesting story, centred around some wonderful characters. I love the island setting and the gradual revealing of the kind of people who live on the islands and why they live there. I loved watching Crow trying to find her family, and keep her other family (Miss Maggie and Osh) at the same time. Beautiful.
